Rolla, MO—Adult Programs


Description

In addition to physical activity, participants in the Water Aerobics class learned about heart-healthy nutrition. Each week, participants received information and materials on a number of topics, including saturated fat and cholesterol, serving sizes, and how to consume five fruits and vegetables per day for heart health. Participants also received information about blood pressure.

Performance Measures

Water Aerobics
Participant scores showed significant improvement in heart-healthy eating knowledge. Other improvements were observed in heart-healthy eating attitude and cholesterol knowledge.
