The Summer Day Camp children's program at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex incorporated a FunFit Festival for 200 campers. In addition to nutrition information and giveaways, the children participated in organized physical activities such as an obstacle course competition, relay games, and a fitness test.
Adolescents in the Soccer Team program participated in a Hearts N' Parks kickoff with a coaches' meeting, followed by information for players and parents. Nutrition workshops were held, and healthy foods were made available on the sidelines at all practices and games. Players tracked their own activity levels and eating patterns using computers at the community center.
