Baltimore, MD—Youth Programs


Description

Heart-healthy activities at the the Hearts N' Parks camps included nutrition lessons, aerobics, stretching exercises, instruction in golf, tennis, swimming, rock climbing, and hiking. Children received certificates and handouts to take home to encourage parents to engage in specific heart-healthy activities as a family. Parents were encouraged to participate in programs with the children. Overall, the children enjoyed the camp activities and had favorable comments upon program completion.
