Springfield, MO—Adult Programs

Description

The Cox Healthy Lifestyles program targeted at-risk adults in the community who would benefit from lifestyle changes such as those participants who were obese, have diabetes, were physically inactive, and/or who faced physical challenges. Activities included classroom presentations on heart-healthy nutrition, blood pressure, cholesterol, as well as on-site demonstrations and physical activity sessions. A healthy menu demonstration was one part of the program that the participants enjoyed.
