Description

The Fassnight Park Program involved area children who attended the public park and related facility. The program focused on heart-healthy nutrition presentations and field trips to outdoor destinations such as local caves and camps/parks throughout the summer.

Performance Measures

Fassnight Park Program
Participant scores showed improvement in heart-healthy eating knowledge and intention. A similar parks/day camp program was targeted in the first year with similar results. Program supervisors have reviewed the questionnaire results with the intention of improving how the information is presented in the future.
