Tallahassee, FL—Adult Programs

Description

The Fall Fitness Adult program focused on heart-healthy eating, blood pressure, cholesterol, and physical activity. Each week, nutrition information packets were handed out to the participants. These packets included information about serving sizes, healthy snack ideas, essential nutrients, facts about fat, the importance of regular physical activity, and more. In addition, approximately 10 adults attended the dietitian's presentation on heart-healthy eating. Display boards containing nutrition and health information were also set up in areas where participants could easily read them. Physical activities included aerobics, adult gymnastics, walking, and running.
