The youth programs primarily focused on heart-healthy eating. The children learned about the USDA Food Guide Pyramid, serving sizes, and the benefits of fruits and vegetables through group activities such as CATCH games and 5 A Day Bingo. The participants also prepared healthy snacks and shakes from fresh fruits and vegetables.
